Get your Background Check!

Hey parents!

All of our grade levels will have field trips scheduled and volunteer opportunities for this school year where you are invited to join us as a parent chaperone.

In order to participate as a parent chaperone, we do ask that everyone plan to complete a background check through Rockingham County schools. This background check will help to assure all parents that you are a safe adult and enable others to fill at ease when their child is under your supervision. Completing a background check will enable you to attend our field trips as a parent chaperone and also volunteer inside our school. This is just one of the many safety procedures we have in place in our building.

Would you consider going ahead and completing this now before the school year begins?

When completing the background check, you have the option for either a one-year clearance or a two-year clearance. Many of you will need to complete this again as a previous background check has most likely expired at this point. If you are unsure if a previous background check has expired, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me and I will certainly be happy to check that for you.
